A few days ago I often get "Generic Host For Win32 error" and then the internet connection is lost and the guns' can reconnect again, the only road must restart the computer. But it happens every few hours like that happen again, I think the system crashes. Then I do the repairs by using norton utilities (win doctor) and scan with norton corporate antivirus and anti spyware xoftspy. It turned guns' no effect at all and still too often out of his svchost.exe error.
Finally after Looking for google see a solution and until now never come out again the error message Generic Host For Win32
The way the manual as follows:
Open the registry editor, start - run - type regedit - ok
go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ NetBT \ Parameters, then on the right hand column and click search TransportBindName 2x
After that the parameters in the Value data blank and click OK
Last entry to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ OLE, search EnableDCOM on the right hand column and click 2x. In the Value data field by default parameter will be filled in Y, change Y to N and then click OK.
Close the registry editor and other applications and then restart
Way above when used for local network will meet some obstacles, because port 445 and 135 closed.
The second way that I have not tried is with his patch windows with KB89439 and KB921883
Update (12-2-2009): KB958644
Note:
After that scan and remove "illness" to clean it with MalwareByte
Additional Info: go to microsoft help and support about the problem Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error
Update 29-3-2010: Want to add about how the initial installation I usually do, the installation using XP Pro SP2 (because guns' have distinguished SP3) and then after they finish the patch with SP3 (SP3 for XP can be downloaded here). Was coupled with the security patch KB958644, Well after the patch process is completed a new driver for your PC / laptop I installed, After That anti-virus and anti malware. The next step I installed the modem and connected to the Internet to update anti-virus and anti malware. The latter lived to install the necessary software.
